  • The rear camera from HP will turn on and you will be prompted to put your index finger from the left hand in front of the camera. The scan process will take place, and if successful, the fingerprint panel under the camera will turn green. Repeat this step up to seven times.

  • If successful, then you will get a message like the following. Press Use this Fingerprint button on the bottom right to use the scan to lock tool.

  • Return to the main page of the Fingerprint Applock app. Press Lock Apps to select which apps you want to lock with fingerprints. Before you can choose, you will be redirected to the Accessibility page. Select the Finger Print A lock option, and press the On button.

  • If so, go back to Lock Apps page earlier. There, you just choose which applications you want to be locked. Select Finger Print Lock, and press Lock.

  • Now each time you will open the desired one, then there will be a page asking you to scan the fingerprint using the back camera.
